BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – A liquor store specializing in fine wines is celebrating its second anniversary with a party.
Southbridge Wines and Spirits is holding its second annual Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday.
Two years ago, Barry Manville and his wife purchased the store on Vestal Avenue in Binghamton.
Manville has 20 years of experience in the wine business.
On Saturday, there will be tasting stations with wine from New York, France, Italy, and California, a botanical gin and cocktail station and a special visit from renowned vintner Boo Beckstoffer.
Manville says he’s built up a loyal following of wine lovers.
“Every bottle is different. Whether it’s the same wine of the same vintage, it can taste different on any given day. Depending on the company you’re with, the weather that you’re having or the food you’re enjoying. It can be a different experience every day,” said Manville.
There will also be complimentary appetizers and sushi, while supplies last.
Plus, raffles and giveaways.
And almost every wine in the store will be 25 percent off.
The Customer Appreciation Day runs from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.
