Ice Cube teams up with The Roots for “That New Funkadelic” on Fallon

Ice Cube made a stop at The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Friday night, performing his track “That New Funkadelic” alongside The Roots to celebrate the release of his new LP Everythang’s Corrupt. If the funk-laden band riffs and eclectically-dressed background vocalists didn’t give it away, Ice Cube explained that the song took heavy inspiration from George Clinton and Parliment Funkadelic. “It’s an homage to one of my favorite artists in the world,” he explained to Fallon earlier in the episode.
