Good Samaritan buys everyone’s coffee at Barron cafe to celebrate Jayme Closs’ escape, return – – WISC-TV3

BARRON, Wis. – An anonymous neighbor is covering the coffee tab at a Barron diner Friday to celebrate Jayme Closs being found alive.

A waitress at Seasons’ Cafe told our News 3 team about the act of kindness, but could not reveal the generous donor’s identity.

Under the egg-and-ham special on the white board Friday morning, there was a message reading, “Jayme was found” with hearts around it.

Kathleen Rehm was one of the many relieved and elated who were Jayme would soon be reunited with her family.  Rehm got emotional over her free cup of coffee, talking about the last three months.

“We had no idea, we didn’t know if hunters would find her. We didn’t know if she was dead or alive,” Rehm said. “We just prayed she was alive and found. So yeah, it definitely affects us and we’re happy now, happy for that little girl.”

Rehm even wears a bright green bracelet to remind her to think of Jayme and her family throughout the search.

“I know it would devastate our family. I can’t imagine what it did to this family too,” Rehm said.

There’s no word on how many complimentary cups of coffee were covered by the anonymous customer.
