JAY-Z’s 4:44 Short Film Is Part Dance, Part YouTube Collage

JAY-Z has dropped an eight-and-a-half minute short film for “4:44,” the title track to his new album. It features footage of viral videos – the “legally blind” lady, leprechaun newscast, etc – some of which will be familiar to anyone who’s spent some time on the internet in the past few years. The effect feels something like browsing through JAY’s “liked” videos on YouTube (at one point, we hear a live version of Al Green’s “Judy” over live footage of JAY performing with Beyoncé). Between the clips, a couple does an interpretative dance to the song’s apologetic tone. Watch above.

JAY-Z has previously shared videos for “The Story Of O.J” and “Footnotes For ‘The Story Of O.J.'”
